SANITEC Sink Series Design

  • Project Scope: Led the design and development of a new sink series for SANITEC, a leading manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen fixtures.

  • Client Objectives: The project aimed to create a commercially viable sink series that balanced functionality and aesthetics for both bathroom and kitchen applications.

  • Design Approach: Through close collaboration with the SANITEC team, I gained a comprehensive understanding of their existing product line, material preferences, and manufacturing processes. This knowledge, combined with in-depth market research on current trends, informed the creation of a successful series of thirteen unique sink designs.

  • Deliverables: I delivered a complete design package including high-fidelity photorealistic images and detailed line drawings for each of the thirteen sink designs. These visuals were readily incorporated into SANITEC's marketing materials, facilitating product promotion and customer presentations.

  • Value Delivered: SANITEC benefitted from this project by receiving not only a new line of innovative sink designs, but also the accompanying marketing collateral to effectively launch the series. Additionally, the project highlighted their commitment to utilizing advanced digital design tools.

A Fusion of Tradition and Modernity The 'New Classic' Tableware


My passion for history, design, and museum spaces fueled the creation of this unique tableware collection. The 'New Classic' blends a minimalist aesthetic with subtle nods to ancient Greece, resulting in a set of modern, functional pieces.

Encompassing everything from plates and glasses to cutlery and serving utensils (including salt and pepper shakers and a wine opener), the collection offers a cohesive and visually captivating dining experience.

Positive Reception:

The 'New Classic' was met with enthusiastic feedback when presented to the sales managers of both the Acropolis Museum in Athens and the Stockholm Museum of Modern Art. The Stockholm museum expressed particular interest in stocking the readily available salt and pepper shakers and wine opener.

Personal Significance:

This project not only expands my design portfolio with pieces that resonate with a broader audience, but also serves as a physical manifestation of my aesthetics and a reflection of my enduring fascination with the past.

From Sales & Design Expertise to Exhibitions Elevating Brand Presence

My performance as a Sales Representative at Karavco transcended traditional sales functions. My proficiency in both sales and design was recognized, culminating in a pivotal assignment – the design, construction, organization, and supervision of the company's exhibition stands. This project served as a catalyst for further design exploration and allowed me to demonstrate my comprehensive skillset.

Going beyond the conventional booth design, I envisioned a holistic brand experience. My design strategy encompassed not only the physical exhibition stand but also the meticulous curation of key elements such as the company signage, lighting, reception area, and product presentation stands. All of these elements were meticulously crafted using Karavco's materials, serving as a testament to their functionality and aesthetic appeal.

'Spiky Leaves': Minimalist Jewelry Inspired by Nature's Majesty

Driven by a lifelong passion for jewelry design, and building on my jewellery design studies and previous working experience, I established 'Spiky Leaves', a brand specializing in minimalist, sculptural pieces. Drawing inspiration from the organic beauty of nature and the captivating narratives of Greek mythology, each 'Spiky Leaves' creation embodies a unique story waiting to be told.


Design & Innovation:

My expertise in jewelry design is seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge 3D modeling software. This allowed me to meticulously translate organic shapes into captivating forms, further accentuated by intricate details brought to life through 3D-printed molds.


Strategic Marketing & Audience Engagement:

'Spiky Leaves' has garnered a loyal following through targeted placement in select Greek stores and participation in thoughtfully curated exhibitions. Recognizing the power of online presence, I developed a captivating website (spikyleaves.com) and established a thriving Etsy shop catering to European and US markets. Through strategic website management, including basic SEO practices and compelling product photography, all of which are skills I developed personally, I cultivated a strong online brand identity.


Growth & Key Achievements:

This entrepreneurial pursuit has not only fostered my creative exploration of organic design and 3D printing in jewelry creation, but also empowered me to delve into the world of wholesale and retail promotion. Through this process, I have cultivated invaluable experience in customer interaction, leading to the development of exceptional product photography skills and the ability to nurture positive customer relationships, as evidenced by consistently laudatory customer reviews.

Museum Muse: Transforming Historical Inspiration into Modern Retail Experiences

My strong interest in history and archaeology fueled my early educational pursuits, including a post-graduate seminar on monument restoration and participation in archaeological excavations. These experiences fostered a profound appreciation for the richness of archaeological museums and their potential to foster public engagement.

Leveraging my dual skillset in goldsmithing and design, I identified an opportunity to elevate the retail offerings within Greek museums. I recognized the untapped potential to bridge the gap between historical significance and modern consumer preferences.

Award-Winning Achievements:

Driven by this vision, I participated in the esteemed 2018 and 2019 Greek Ministry of Culture's competitions for a lucky charm design. My proposals garnered significant recognition and were finally the ones selected by the Hellenic Organization of Cultural Resources Development (H.O.C.RE.D.) (formerly TAP) for their exceptional design, craftsmanship, and quality. The highly positive feedback further solidified my conviction in this innovative approach.

Project Execution and Success:

Following the successful selection, I secured a public contract and delivered 2,200 pieces of meticulously crafted jewelry – along with my designed packaging and accompanying cards – on schedule and within budget. This project demonstrably showcased my ability to translate historical inspiration into high-quality, marketable products that resonate with a contemporary audience.

Driven by a deep-seated passion for the visual arts, my practice focuses on the innovative intersection of 3D design and artistic inspiration.
